What is Positive Behaviour Support?
Positive behaviour support or commonly referred to PBS is an applied science on addressing challenging behaviours with a core focus on increasing someone quality of life.
What is considered challenging behaviour?
A challenging behaviour is any behaviour that impacts the person/others:
- Quality of life
- Safety – the person and/or others become at risk
The PBS service is funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) under the line item Capacity Building – Improved Relationships. If you feel this service is needed and not funded within your plan, speak to your Support Coordinator or NDIS Planner for information regarding accessing our services.
