What is Occupational Therapy?
The main purpose of occupational therapy is to provide individuals with the appropriate supports to engage in everyday activities that are meaningful and necessary to them. ‘Occupations’ are the activities that we participate in daily such as, getting dressed, having a shower, eating, driving, going to work and everything in between. The goal is to promote independence and satisfaction in these areas of people’s lives.

What is Speech Pathology?
The primary goal of speech pathology is to support children and adults who may be having difficulty with their communication and/or ability to eat and drink. This includes speech clarity, understanding language, expressing themselves, listening, reading, writing, social skills, voice issues, feeding themselves as well as their ability to swallow.

What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapists work with children and adults to support their physical wellbeing and independence. This includes supporting individuals who experience difficulty with strength, balance, coordination, sensation, range of movement or endurance. Physiotherapy can also assist in diagnosing and providing treatment to individuals experiencing pain or recovering from an injury to support them to return to the activities they enjoy.

What is psychology?
Psychology aims to understand how people think, feel, behave and learn. Therapy services are funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) under the line-item Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living.
